Dawn has been in youth ministry for over 20 years. She began creating Sand Art stories as a way to find new ways to help her students visualize God’s word. She noticed they were much more responsive to a visual message than a verbal one. As an artist, she has seen how this unique medium really captures the attention of those that might otherwise tune out. She participates in worship arts whenever possible and also speaking in secular settings like cancer support groups, civic groups, etc.

Dawn has over 25 years of experience in advertising and graphic design. She works for the UM General Board of Higher Education & Ministry. She is also a proud wife, mom and grandmother of the two cutest kids ever…just ask her.

Dawn you are a gifted sand artist who captured our heartfelt attention through sight and sound. During NEXT2016 you transformed a blank canvas of sand into a scriptural and theologically relevant piece of art. Through you our participants were encouraged, invigorated, and the Holy Spirit moved without you ever uttering a word. Dawn - thank you for sharing your gift with us. We all shared a Holy Spirit moment because of you, and we are grateful. Book Dawn, embrace her gift and expect the unexpected.
